Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our mehandi and tattoo services

mehandi Questions

mehandi typically lasts 1-3 weeks, depending on:

  • Your skin type (lasts longer on oilier skin)
  • Body placement (palms and soles retain color longest)
  • How long you kept the paste on (4-8 hours recommended)
  • Aftercare (avoiding water, chlorine, and excessive washing)

The color will darken over the first 48 hours before gradually fading.

For best results:

  • Exfoliate the area a day before your appointment
  • Avoid moisturizers/lotions on application day
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area
  • Bring reference images if you have specific design ideas
  • Plan to keep the paste on for several hours after application
  • For bridal mehandi, eat beforehand as sessions are long
  • Avoid caffeine which can make you jittery

Natural henna is generally safe, but there are exceptions:

  • We use only natural, chemical-free henna paste
  • Patch tests available for first-time clients
  • Not recommended for those with G6PD deficiency
  • Consult your doctor if pregnant (though generally considered safe)
  • Avoid if you have a known allergy to henna or essential oils
Warning: Black henna containing PPD is dangerous and never used in our practice.
